LEXINGTON'S PREMIER
DINING ADDRESS SINCE
1953
Incorporated as The Dutch Club, The City Club of Lexington came into being on September 30th 1953.
The Club was first envisioned by a group of furniture executives who met socially on a regualar basis and always "went Dutch".
In the spring of 1953, this group met at the lake house of George S. Coble and laid out plans to form the club. By March 1954, the board of directors had hired a manager and chef and began to recruit members from the community.
Over the years there have been upgrades, additions and expansions, but The Club retains much of its original charm..
